Gatwick “Meet the Buyer” event helps SMEs identify new business opportunities

The Gatwick Diamond Meet the Buyers event has been successful in generating new business for SMEs for well over a decade.

The Gatwick Diamond Initiative aims to connect local business with buyer in order to ease the process of forming successful and profitable supply chains.

This event welcomes buyers such as Kier Construction, Balfour Beatty, West Sussex County Council, HSS Hire and Gatwick Airport, a joint sponsor of the event.

Liz Townsend, head of Procurement at Gatwick Airport, stated that “Gatwick is a major economic driver for the South East region. In 2015, Gatwick Airport spent in excess of £74 million with local suppliers, reflecting our active focus on improving opportunities for local SMEs wishing to supply to Gatwick.”
